Technical Support Engineers

ManageIQ, the emerging leader in software and solutions for private cloud enablement, virtual infrastructure management and the management of virtual desktop infrastructures is looking for technical support engineers to join our growing team. As a key member of our customer support group you’ll need the unique ability to communicate well both verbally and written, and problem solve under pressure. Your skill in driving incidents from inception to successful close while providing world class support to our customers will ensure your success at ManageIQ.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a technical support or consulting role.
  • A track record of success in satisfying customers.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • An attention to detail with exceptional follow through.
  • Prefer experience supporting infrastructure/operations management software in enterprise datacenters.
  • Hands on experience with virtualization technologies from VMware, Microsoft, NetApp, Citrix, RedHat. VCP preferred.
  • Systems administration skills with Windows Server and/or Linux.
  • Integration scripting skills including Ruby, Perl, Powershell, JavaScript.
  • Ability to coordinate across functional teams to deliver solutions to challenging problems.
  • Undergraduate degree in either computer science or engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with account teams to support world class solutions for our customers.
  • Work customer incidents from inception to close.
  • Contribute to and maintain a solution database .
  • Advocate on behalf of the customer on product direction.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to customers.
  • Participate in end user Q/A testing of products.
  • Liaison with product management and field service teams to understand product direction, features and best practices.
