Albion Fitzgerald, Chairman

Albion has over 40 years of experience in the design, operation and management of large-scale computing environments and infrastructure software for commercial, public and government enterprises. After starting his career at IBM in 1966, he spent over a decade building and managing systems and networks for the New York financial community, and another decade at New York University, where he was responsible for architecting and managing its innovative university-wide computing and multimedia Internet networking strategies and operations. Albion’s experience also includes 18 years as a systems software company founder and CEO, initially for Telemetrix, Inc., a provider of enterprise systems management software which was acquired by a Computer Associates subsidiary in 1988. More recently, as Chairman and CEO of Novadigm, Inc., he led the software company from its inception in 1991, established its industry-leading position in the enterprise IT configuration management arena, financed it with two public offerings, and built its worldwide operations to annual revenues of $70 million, with over 500 leading enterprise customers in 25 countries at the time of its acquisition by Hewlett Packard in 2004. Albion was co-author together with his brother Joseph of the patents underlying Novadigm’s adaptive configuration management technologies.

Irwin Gross, Sequoia Capital Heritage Fund

Irwin is a Managing Member and co-founder of the Sequoia Capital Heritage Fund, a global multi-asset class investment fund focused on the management and growth of long-term capital. Prior to Sequoia Capital, Irwin was a general partner at Worldview Technology Partners, a multi-stage venture capital firm with $1.3 billion under management. He was an investor and served as a board member for private companies in the software, internet services, and semiconductor markets. Prior to Worldview, Irwin was a senior partner at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, a leading technology-focused law firm. While at Wilson, Sonsini, Irwin co-founded and managed the firm’s intellectual property counseling practice, representing numerous public and private clients, including Hewlett-Packard, Apple, VMware, and Sandisk. He also served as a managing member of WS Investments, the firm’s private equity fund. Irwin received a J.D. from Harvard Law School, magna cum laude, and a B.S. with distinction in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Robert Anderson

Rob brings over 25 years of experience in private and public software company financing, operations and strategic management. As a founder, Board member and Executive Vice President of Novadigm, Inc., Rob served initially as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, then as Chief Operating Officer, and finally as Managing Director of International Operations until the company’s acquisition by Hewlett Packard in 2004. Prior to Novadigm, Rob worked in the Brokerage and Investment Banking business, initially as a research analyst following the high technology industry, and subsequently as an investment banker specializing in transactions involving software companies. Rob is also on the board of directors of Group Logic, Inc., a firm specializing in advanced file transfer, remote workflow and file server software solutions for Macs and Windows PCs. Rob graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Joseph J. Fitzgerald, Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder

Joe brings over 26 years of experience providing operations, systems and configuration management solutions to hundreds of enterprise class IT organizations worldwide. Prior to founding ManageIQ, he was CTO and Director Product Development for Hewlett Packard’s Change & Configuration Management Software Business, a division of the $1B HP Software Business Unit, where he was named HP distinguished technologist in 2005. Joe joined Hewlett Packard as part of the Novadigm acquisition, a public company he co-founded and where as CTO he spent more than 12 years pioneering large-scale configuration management solutions. Under his leadership, Novadigm was recognized by Gartner and IDC for its signature desired-state and policy-based management innovations and many times over as a Gartner “magic quadrant” leader. Prior to co-founding Novadigm Joe engineered large-scale, high-performance networking software used in mission-critical applications by Fortune 500 companies worldwide. He is the author and co-author of numerous patents including those underlying Novadigm’s adaptive management technologies.

Oleg Barenboim, Chief Technology Officer & Co-founder

Oleg has over 20 years of experience in the research and development of systems management software including configuration management, communications, database and systems monitoring. Oleg’s broad platform expertise ranges from enterprise mainframes, servers and desktops to embedded systems, smartphones and virtual computing environments, with a focus on leveraging emerging technologies to architect solutions for IT management challenges faced by large enterprises. Prior to ManageIQ, Oleg was a R&D leader at Hewlett Packard working in the Change and Configuration Management Business unit of HP Software. He came to HP through the acquisition of Novadigm, Inc. where he was a senior manager and a lead architect for its innovative policy-based desired-state technologies for large scale configuration management. Before his work at Novadigm Oleg held key development roles at Spectrum Concepts, Legent Corp and IBM. He received a B.A. and M.S. in Computer Science from New York University and a MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
